Palm Harbor Pool Deck
Although "darker" in the photo below from
age compared to the new paint's appearance, this pool deck's prior look was also light colored and had simply taken a beating from general exposure. It was likely a very similar off-white color when originally applied.

Safety Harbor Pool Deck
As part of an overall exterior home painting project
the pool deck at this location was also done. The color used was a slight modification of "Hidden Jade". This provided a very nice accent to the walls.
Two important items in the pool deck prep kit. A small blower for all the tiny bits n pieces and some cold ginger ale.
Rolling out the material on pool decks is best done with a larger setup than the traditional 9" roller. Fourteen inch rollers are the most commonly used, with 18's being used on very large slabs in warehouse type settings.
The "rolling bucket" pictured will hold several gallons at once but is rarely filled with more than 1 or 2 at a time due to the extreme weights involved.
The work here is done other than picking up our wet rag, an empty ginger
ale bottle and our pool deck material can on the other side of the pool. Depending on general weather conditions, most pool decks can be walked on within hours of a final coats application. Heavier items like tables and other furniture may require 24-48 hours for best long term results.

After various pool maintenance repairs and tile updates were made here this deck was then given a refreshed look.

This deck has been stripped of the majority of it's furniture in the above left photo to facilitate the work. The table was later put inside the home temporarily while the work took place. Suds in the above right photo from the surface prep taking place.
Getting the box fans going post washing. With the weather bringing cool temps and less sunlight this surface needed some boosters to help air it out.
Putting our big bucket and the 14" roller setup in motion again on coat 1 of the finish material. Tropicrete from Florida Paints was used. The sheen is a mild satin.
